The artist will demonstrate the cleaning steps of your tattoo area then cover that area in a tattoo film( second-skin). This covering prevents bacteria from getting into your skin. It also protects the tattoo from rubbing onto your clothes and getting irritated. Keep the dressing on for as long as your tattoo artist recommends, which may be just a few hours( we will advise you the time depending on your tattoo style, size and placement etc.). First wash your hands with water and soap. Then gently wash the tattoo with warm water or fragrance-free wipes. Pat your skin dry with a soft cloth or clean towel. Repeat the whole cleaning process 2 to 3 times on day 1.
For the second day, gently wash your tattoo area twice a day and pat dry before applying the antibacterial/Vaseline ointment, highly recommend to use Bepanthen cream. Keep applying a moisturizer or ointment after you clean it to keep it moist.
You should repeat this process for 2 to 4 weeks. Also try not to wear clothes that will stick to your tattoo, and avoid drinking alcohol, swimming and the sun for about 2 weeks. And take cool showers.
If your tattoo scabs a bit or develops hard layers, don’t worry. It’s normal. But never pick, scratch, or peel it. You could get an infection or remove the color. If you think your tattoo is infected, or isn’t healing properly, seek advice from us or your tattoo artist immediately or see doctor if needed ASAP.

Typically yes, although it does depend on the tattoo. While we do re-do tattoos and do cover-ups often, each one is unique and might require a different approach. We recommend you speak to one of our tattoo artists in person and let them take a look at the tattoo to see what options are available.
Yes, we do. Cover-ups typically need to be darker and larger than the original tattoo. There are certain designs that work better for cover-ups, but having an idea of what you would like to cover it with is suggested. We recommend you speak to one of our tattoo artists in person and let them take a look at the tattoo to see that what the best options are.
You can bring friends with you to the shop. However, only one person is allowed in the station with you together.
Tattoos can be uncomfortable. The level of discomfort can vary from person to person. On average, the discomfort is mild and sometimes described as more annoying than painful. Some people have compared the sensation of getting tattooed to a hot scratch or similar to a sunburn when healing. It is not the same sensation as having blood drawn or getting a shot. Some areas are more sensitive than others on the body and some people take getting tattooed better than other people. If it was unbearable or extremely painful you wouldn’t see so many people with tattoos.
We will tattoo the fingers, but the tattoos are not guaranteed. This means that unlike other tattoos , more than one time touch-ups are not included in the price of finger tattoos. Unfortunately, finger tattoos do not hold up well over time. Your hands are used almost constantly - washing, reaching into pockets or bags, driving, holding your phone, etc. Also, the skin on your hands and feet is different from the rest of your body and does not hold ink as well. This along with so much use of your hands can stop your tattoo from healing in the correct way and cause fading, blurriness, and disappearing lines. The options to fix or repair this are very limited. Sometimes these issues can be resolved with touch-ups, but more often the same or similar issues reoccur. The same applies to any spot on the foot located below the ankle
It is possible to cover scars with tattoos, but each scar is different. This is definitely a case-by-case situation. The age, size, and type of scarring all make a difference on whether or not covering it with a tattoo is possible. We recommend you speak to one of our tattoo artists in person and let them take a look at the scar to see that what the best options are.
Stay hydrated leading up to your tattoo session. Please don’t moisturize right before your session, however, as this could affect the tattoo machines function. Shave the area where you will be tattooed to create the smoothest possible surface to work on. If you aren’t used to shaving leave the job for us. Get a good night’s sleep before your tattoo session. Head to bed early and don’t imbibe any alcohol or drugs the night before. Make sure to eat a healthy, balanced meal before heading to your tattoo session. If you sustain any injury leading up to your scheduled tattoo session, call your tattoo shop immediately and alert your artist to the extent of your injury. Dress comfortably and appropriately. Prepare for a long session and dress accordingly. Avoid tight and constricting clothing. Pay some mind to where you will be getting tattooed and make sure the clothing you wear leaves the area easily accessible. When you come in to get a tattoo done, relax and let the artist take their time. Don’t schedule commitments immediately after your tattoo session. If you are in a rush you will create an air of urgency, and your tattoo artist’s work may be affected.
